About the Fund
Setting the path for others by giving back to the community!
The Bright One Educational Support Fund was established by Mojibola Abodunde in 2006 to provide educational support to primary 6 level children who attend St. Michael’s Primary School in Okemesi, Ekiti State. The selection is based on the children with the best academic performance during a given school year and whose parents have a plan for them to attend secondary school.
The goal of the fund is to sponsor each of the selected children through six years of secondary school(school supplies included) as long as they maintain their exceptional academic performance over the period of sponsorship. The fund initially began with the selection of two children, a boy and a girl, that had the highest academic record in the primary 6 class of St. Michael's Primary School.
In 2007, the fund extended to 11 other primary schools in Okemesi, Ekiti State, offering an additional full scholarship to a child with the best academic performance out of all the other primary 6 level children in these schools. This new scholarship is in addition to the 2 given yearly at St. Michael's Primary School.
Our Mission
The Bright One Educational Support Fund is a non profit organisation that exists specifically to benefit the growth and development of exceptional primary level children that are about to begin pursuing a secondary education.
The fund will provide full scholarships and school supplies to selected children for the entire six year period of their secondary school education.
In addition, the fund plans to extend its support to surrounding primary schools in Okemesi Ekiti State and well as primary schools in other states.
